Chianciano Terme is a spa resort very rich in mineral waters with healing properties, located about 550 meters above sea level, and the town makes the most of a wide range of advantages deriving from its favorable geographic location. Surrounded by hills covered in oak, beech, holm oak, and chestnut forests, characterized by a mild climate and by a healthy and unspoiled environment, Chianciano Terme still has wide stretches of green areas in its town center, in particular the parks of the spa, the public gardens, and parks of villas and hotels. Chianciano Terme is nowadays one of the major spa resorts in Europe thanks to its outstanding waters, its extensive parks, and a very large number of modern hotels.

Located in the south of the province of Siena, where the spirit of Tuscany is at its purest, much more than elsewhere, Chianciano Terme lies on a ridge which acts as a divide between the wild Val d'Orcia - included by Unesco in the World Heritage list - and the very fertile Val di Chiana. The small town is surrounded by a large number of villages of different sizes, small communities of inestimable value for their human heritage, their traditions, and their art treasures. Feel free to explore the area, discover small trails far from the civilized world: wherever you go, you will certainly find something to see, as well as something to drink and to eat.
